The wildlife interest of the site changes as you walk around the golf course because of the localised differenced in the topography of the sand dune system and the position of the holes relative to the coast. The dunes inland have been colonised by plants, which are different from those by the seashore. The dry tops and slopes also contain different plants from those in the damper areas between the dunes.
